Long Beach Police Holding Drug Take-Back This Weekend
Residents can bring their unused prescription medications in to be disposed of safely and properly.

LONG BEACH, NY — The City of Long Beach will be participating in National Drug Take-Back Day this weekend, giving residents a chance to dispose of their unused prescription medication.
The police department will be collecting prescription drugs on Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Long Beach Police Department headquarters at the intersection of West Chester Street and Centre Street.
The drop-off of medication is free and anonymous, and no questions will be asked.

Those who wish to drop off medications should:
- Keep the prescriptions in their original containers.
- Black-out any identifying information for anonymity.
- Keep medication information visible.
No syringes or sharps will be accepted. Liquids, thermometers, IV bags and chemotherapy drugs will also not be accepted.
