LONG BEACH, NY — The opportunities to get vaccinated for COVID-19 are stepping up. On Thursday, Mt. Sinai South Nassau is set to wheel the Vaxmobile to St. Mary of the Isle Roman Catholic Church.

Those needing the shot have the walk-up option, but the Town of Hempstead, which is co-sponsoring the event, says supply is limited.

Otherwise, residents can schedule an appointment to ensure their place on the line.
