Long Beach Surfing Group Gets Grant For Helping Special Needs Teens
Surf For All, which started in 2002, received a $25,000 grant for its work in the community.
LONG BEACH, NY — Surf For All, co-founded by Long Beach residents Will and Cliff Skudin, was given a $25,000 grant from the Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation.
Surf for All started two decades ago with the development of a surf program for developmentally disabled teenagers.
Surf for All works closely with the Long Beach School District and provides weekly lessons at no cost for students ages five to twenty during the Summer Special Education Program.

The Skudins have expanded their outings to cover a broader spectrum of disabilities.
The grant is part of the $2.8 million Dunkin' Joy in Childhood handed out to organizations this year.
