Man Threatens Town Officials With Crossbow: Police
The man had an ongoing dispute with officials over a small plane parked in his driveway, police say.

HEMPSTEAD, NY - An Oceanside man who recently had his plane removed from his driveway by Town of Hempstead officials was arrested for threatening two Town employees with a crossbow on Monday afternoon, according to Nassau Police.
Harold Guretzky, 70, called the Town of Hempstead Supervisor's office on the phone and verbally threatened the employees on Monday at about 3 p.m.
Guretzky had an ongoing dispute with the town over having a small plane parked in his driveway.

Last Thursday, officials removed Guretzky's airplane that was parked in front of his Oceanside home after he was issued several violations.
Guretzky brought his Cessna to his home from Republic Airport about a month ago, according to the New York Post.

Guretsky, the owner of a Queens aircraft-radio company, lost his student-pilot license over health issues and wanted to avoid the $150 monthly storage fee, according to the report.
Detectives arrested him on Tuesday and charged him with two counts of second degree aggravated harassment, police said.
He will be arraigned on Wednesday.
