No Injuries Reported in Long Beach Building Fire

The fire broke out at about 11:35 a.m.

LONG BEACH, NY - No injuries were reported in a building fire in Long Beach on Tuesday morning, according to the Long Beach Fire Department.

The department was alerted to a building fire near Pacific Boulevard and Shore Road at about 11:34 a.m.

Responding firefighters were faced with "heavy smoke conditions." The fire was found to have started in the corner of the apartment to the right of the front door.

The fire was quickly extinguished, but caused significant damage to parts of the apartment. Nobody was home at the time of the fire.
