Oh Yeah, You Blend
This long Corona-year has got me thinking, "Do I try enough to see myself in others?"

This long, long year has been a trial for all of us. For some it has been absolutely tragic: Loss of loved ones, loss of jobs, loss of businesses, loss of homes.
I escaped that horror, thank God. And my heart goes out to those who have felt the full brunt of this plague.
But as the year grew longer so did my untended hair. I chose not to risk a haircut and other close-up daring adventures. It was just not worth the risk.

But I did notice a difference in my daily relationship with others. Often things seemed just off, so much so that it disturbed me a bit. And it made me realize how being different, not blending, not being like others, can make a person sad.
And that realization, although sad, was enlightening.
