Passion

Our Long Beach beach and boardwalk is a magnet for thousands. Some come for the waves, some come for the biking, some come for the passion.

Whatever turns you on, gives you energy, causes you to get up early and bound out the door is your passion.

Sometimes(if you're very lucky) it’s the work you do, sometimes it’s the fun you have, but for those tuned to it, it's what makes life worth living. It puts a stride in your gait and a smile on your brain. Often, it's the last thing you think about before falling asleep.

I’ve taken a look at what people do on our shore. You’ve seen them too, maybe you know some of them, maybe you are among them. They are people engaged in their passions, whatever they might be. I've looked closely at myself and found that it's what makes me press a camera shutter and tap these computer keys.

This is about Long Beach and people and passion, it's about those of us who just “ride the wave.”
