Paw Slapped

Sometimes learning goes both ways. It's about being open to it.

Readers who learned of our breeder-dog rescue in my last blog post, Pooch Power, have asked me how it's going.

Well, it's been a back and forth of progress, and lack thereof, sometimes more back than forth.

Rescuing dogs has its challenges, of course and we've always appreciated those who've joined us in rescue rather than purchasing pooches.

But rescuing breeder dogs has unique problems to deal with. I hadn't realized that when we took up the challenge.

It's a learning challenge. And to my surprise it was learning from our new pooch, Scout, as well as her learning the new challenges of life beyond the breeder cage.
