The Perpetual Chase...of Life

As you stroll our Long Beach shore do you just gaze? Or do you really get into it? Maybe even see shore life as a metaphor?

When we are on the shore we are usually on a break from our daily “grind", or we are retired from a career. But there is a strong similarity in what our daily work is, or was, compared to what goes on in the surf, in the air, of Long Beach, NY.

It’s all about survival. We too are creatures that must learn from our environment to discern opportunities of which to take advantage. The sharp eye of the tern or the osprey for nourishment isn’t much different than many of us who look for investment choices, job potentials. We then swoop in for...survival.

If we learn well enough, or are lucky enough, we can perform this daily task, or life career,. with some degree of success, even enjoyment. I’ve found parallels to the sea pursuits for survival and some locals who you may very well know. They've soared, they've dived, they survived and were gratified:
