Petals and Paws

My busy self tends to let too much of life’s perfect moments go unnoticed. But sometimes my inner self stops and gulps it all in.

Spring is all around me. Before I know it, Memorial Day will be a bustle of barbecues and beer-toting revelers. If I don’t pay attention, I miss the greatest show on Earth...a walk in the spring with my dog.

I came upon a neighbor yesterday who was walking homefrom our local stores. I was walking Bailey. We stopped and chatted and remarked how life is so much better in the slow...walking lane.

When we drive we don’t see the detail of life, the gardens, the trees, the birds. When we rush all over town life is just a blur of green shrubs and mind stuff. We agreed there is more to life than just “getting someplace” by car.
