Did you see them drop their pants, these Polar Bares?

They did it again.

They do it every year.

They came from all parts of Long Beach, Long Island, and beyond, to bare their soles. No SUNSHINE PATRIOTS, this group of seven thousand.

It was a dark and dreary sky but that didn’t stop these guys, gals, and kids of all ages to dip into our icy sea. If you’ve never dipped or have even gone to the shore to watch them, you’ve missed a fun day.

It's the display of the bravest among us, the fearless diving into the frigid sea.

It’s Americans joining, once again, to drop their pants, their worries, their regrets, their anxieties, their politics, their decorum, to just do something audacious, ridiculous, outrageous…together.
