PSEG-LI Repairs Equipment in Long Beach Following Power Outages
This month, several local residents have reported power outages in the area.
LONG BEACH, NY - After several reported power outages in the area, PSEG Long Island recently made repairs to equipment in Long Beach.
On Thursday morning, PSEG crews added a new transformer as well as replaced some secondary wiring at Georgia Avenue and West Beech Street, according to PSEG-LI spokesperson Elizabeth Flagler.
According to Flagler, since the beginning of July there have been five power outages reported in the area which she says is due to an increase in power usage for homes that are still being rebuilt after Superstorm Sandy.
