Raindrops and Heartbeats

I’ve written about presence here before, dear and patient reader. But it’s at this start of a New Year that it might be worth taking another look.

The year yawns open before all of us. Will this one be just like the last in most respects? Is there any way to make it richer?

There is a wonder all around us, a wonder of senses that enriches our lives…but only if we pay close attention.

I used to decide when I’d like to be present and then proceed to let it unfold. But lately I find myself called to the richness of life, the full awareness of it. And it seems to happen when I most need it. It’s almost as if I’m being tapped on the shoulder.
