Rally In Support Of Ukraine Scheduled For Long Beach

Multiple religious and community groups helped organize the Monday evening gathering.

LONG BEACH, NY — Support for families from Ukraine is strong on Long Island. A rally is scheduled for Monday night in Long Beach to virtually embrace those families in a war zone or forced to flee their homes.

The gathering is planned for outside Temple Emanu-El of Long Beach.

But the Rally for Peace was put together in conjunction with other religious and community groups from the neighborhood.

Sponsors include CenterPoint Church, Long Beach Latino Civic Association, MLK Center of Long Beach, New Life Church, North Park Civic Association, St. James-Jerusalem Episcopal Church, Temple Israel and the city of Long Beach.

It is scheduled for 7 p.m.
