Readers' Choice Winner: Ocean Beach Park

Where's the best staycation spot in Long Beach? Not surprisingly, you, the readers, chose Ocean Beach Park.

The beach and boardwalk won in a landslide, collecting 93 percent of the vote and topping places like the playgrounds and Ice Arena in this week's Reader's Choice poll. Ocean Beach Park is the official name for the sand and ocean in Long Beach that stretches for about five miles, from Nevada Avenue to Maple Boulevard, and includes a 2.2-mile stretch of boardwalk.
