If you live anywhere near our beach you hear, you feel, the thunderous roar of boulders bouncing off steel, of rocks being trucked across our sands, of cranes straining to lift them up and away…then down into the sea.
Our shore is a mess these days, and sometimes overturned jetty rocks make their presence known by their diSTINKtive aroma.
It’s all an effort to mitigate the chance of another Sandy-type sea surge, the surge that left us with so many sad stories.

Sure, we’re glad to see the work get done to protect our home in our City by the Sea, most especially because much of it is being done with help from Uncle Sam. But we know too that this is but a band aid. The real cure is something we all need to fight for.
And in that fight we are armed with a little miracle, evidence of which you’ve been driving by every day but didn’t really know what it was all about.
