Road Work Scheduled in Long Beach

Several roads will be repaved both this week and next week.

The City of Long Beach recently announced that several local roads will be repaved this week.

Starting on Tuesday, the Department of Public Works will be repaving the ends of Arizona, Delaware, and Pennsylvania Avenue between Oceanview and the beach.

This project is scheduled to be completed by Friday, June 24.

In addition, from June 27 to July 1, National Grid and PSEG-LI will be paving Oceanview Drive from New York to Delaware Avenue, along with Arizona, Delaware, and Pennsylvania Avenue between Beech Street and Oceanview Avenue.

During construction, locals are warned that there may be restricted parking between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

"This work will be performed at no cost to Long Beach taxpayers, as per the agreement negotiated between the City, PSEG-LI, and National Grid," a message on the City of Long Beach Facebook page reads.
