The Robin Hood Relief Fund has approved a fourth grant to the Long Beach Christmas Angel, Inc.

The Robin Hood Relief Fund has approved a fourth grant to the Long Beach Christmas Angel, Inc. in a continued effort to help people in the tri-state area affected by Super Storm Sandy.
The Long Beach Christmas Angel (LBCA), a non-profit 501c3 organization, is dedicated to improving the lives of families who are experiencing financial difficulties within the Long Beach, NY school district. In the past two years, the LBCA’s primary focus has been to assist families who have been trying to rebuild their lives post-Sandy. A Major Disaster Declaration by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) was declared for Nassau County on October 30, 2012. The seaside community of Long Beach, one of Nassau County’s hardest hit areas, and its residents suffered extensive damage from the storm.
To raise additional support and awareness for families in need, The Long Beach Christmas Angel is hosting its 15th Annual Holiday Fundraiser on December 5th, 2014. The event will recognize five individuals for their outstanding community minded efforts. Honorees include: Donna Winter-Fee, West Elementary School; Caryl Ann O’Neill Niven, Michelle O’Neill Foundation; Miguel Rodriguez, Lido Elementary School; Sandra Schneider, West Elementary School; and Dr. Mary Anne Trasciatti, Hofstra University.
