We've seen so much work being done on our beach to restore and fortify it, but can we see beyond the horizon? Beyond our tribe?

Many of you have asked what that tall tripod looking thing is on our shore. We'll it's called a Crab, and it moves. I've taken some videos of it in action. It's an amazing piece of equipment as is the whole Long Beach Army Corps of Engineers' beach restoration project.
I visited the West End beaches of Long Beach and while taking photos and videos of dust flying, dredge slurry pumping, and men working, I met a fine couple who were visiting from another vulnerable part of America, the Chesapeake Bay area. They had some thoughts on sea vulnerability of which I agree, maybe you too.
We see the the temperatures soaring to heights never seen before, we see flames roaring across America's West, we see the thousand-year floods coming a lot more regularly. There's a lot to think about these days.
