Sun, Sand...Graves, Gratitude

We enjoy our holiday weekends with friends, with barbecues, with libation. So much fun. So great to walk in the sun.

But I found a way to sharpen the spirit of the weekend...and the spirit of my life.

I walked our beach recently and found much to make me smile; so have you, many times, I’m sure. There is a constant, beautiful expression of life in all its forms. People being people, shore birds lifting up our spirits with their wings. It's exhilarating, for sure.

But it’s a walk among the silent, that brings the walk in the sun into sharp focus.
