Surfing...Pleasure

Our Long Beach shore was witness to a surfing competition this Sept.

It was the Unsound Pro Surfing Competition and I was there for two days of it. But as I witnessed it I soon realized...I became part of it.

No, I didn’t surf. But I was doing what I love to do, just as these sea gliders were doing what they loved to do. And just as a surprise visitor was doing what she loved to do.

We were exposing our love of life, our particular passions, we just happened to be doing it all together.

I think we hominids all have a passion deep inside that calls to rise to the surface, to make us happy, to share with others, to make life worthwhile.
