Wrapping Presence

Is the Holiday season a blur of frenetic motion, a flickering movie to you? Maybe you can stop and appreciate a single frame NOW and then.

It happens your entire life of course: the days, the weeks, the seasons, even the years rush by like the South wind off the Atlantic. Before you know it the past is past and it’s hard to even recall the details of a single moment.

As life unfolds some of us often forget how temporary our presence is with those close to us, how tentative EVERYTHING is. It is only after there is a parting that we wish we had paid more attention, that we’d been more in the moment with those close to us.

I see the rush of life pass by too, so caught up in the everyday of it. But sometimes I let the present moment happen in full detail. I basically slow it down, I almost stop the clock so I’m now fully with what is happening around me.
