The Bristal Hosts Second Annual Golf Tournament to Benefit Employees in Times of Need

The Bristal's Second Annual Spark Golf Tournament A Success

The Bristal Assisted Living Communities hosted its second annual golf tournament at the Rock Hill Golf Club in Manorville. Held on September 16th, 2025, the highly anticipated event sold out in advance, with all proceeds benefiting The Spark Foundation.

The Spark Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, was established to provide financial assistance to employees facing unforeseen hardships such as serious illness, tragic accidents, natural disasters, or other critical situations beyond their control. Support from The Spark Foundation can benefit team members at Ultimate Care Assisted Living Management, The Bristal Assisted Living, Encore Luxury Living, and 305 West End Assisted Living.

Amy Silva-Magalhaes, Chief Operating Officer of The Bristal Assisted Living and President of The Spark Foundation, shared, “This isn't just about financial aid; it's about showing our people that they are part of a community that stands by them, no matter what. Your contributions provide relief, stability, and most importantly, hope.”

The Swing for Hope Annual Golf Outing remains The Spark Foundation’s largest and most impactful event thanks to the incredible generosity of sponsors, enthusiastic golfers, and active raffle participation.

The Spark Foundation’s Impact
Over the past year, the foundation’s resources have made a tangible difference in the lives of several employees across the organization. Among those helped were a team member who lost their family home to a devastating house fire, a team member navigating a family emergency overseas, and a team member whose child required urgent transportation to a specialized hospital in another city due to a serious illness.

These acts of generosity were made possible by the incredible donors, many of whom work in the communities. The foundation continues to thrive thanks to ongoing support through company fundraisers like the annual golf tournament, community-led initiatives, and payroll deduction options available to employees. Together, these donations create a safety net that truly makes a difference when it’s needed most.

The enthusiasm surrounding the second annual golf tournament highlighted the deep sense of camaraderie and community at The Bristal. Organizers and supporters alike hoped the funds raised would ensure that employees facing life’s unexpected challenges continued to receive timely, compassionate support.
