Author Event with Ania Nassimi: "Treasures of the Mashadi Kitchen" at Great Neck Library

Join us for a moderated discussion with the author of "Treasures of the Mashadi Kitchen." Learn about the most popular dishes among the Mashadi Jewish Communities, as well as tradition and heritage. In the author's own words, "My mother, grandmothers, aunts, and mother-in-law poured their souls into every dish. Each recipe here carries a bit of their spirit...Treasures of the Mashadi Kitchen is my way of sharing the warmth of our heritage with you."

The evening's conversation will be moderated by Rebecca Sassouni. Rebecca is a past Board of Education President, a current board trustee, and a member of the Mayor’s Coalition for Unity. A lawyer and writer, Rebecca serves on various boards and committees focused on education and law, including first-generation American Persian Jewish experiences.

This author event will take place at the Great Neck Library, 159 Bayview Avenue, Great Neck, on Tuesday, April 28, at 7:00 p.m. Registration is required but open to all. Great Neck cardholders and residents can register online, in person, or via phone. Non-residents are welcome as walk-ins, subject to space availability.
