InsideOut Concert featuring Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony performed by the Massapequa Philharmonic

Stephen C. Widom Cultural Arts at Emanuel will present the Massapequa Philharmonic under the direction of David Bernard for a fully immersive InsideOut Concert. Come and experience Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 in E minor from your seat INSIDE the orchestra.

The experience of not only hearing, but seeing and feeling the music with an entire symphony orchestra around you is extraordinary — the iMax of Classical Music — better than any escape room! Experiencing this work up close is revelatory. As amazing as it is to hear Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony on a recording or even in a live performance, listening to this work from inside an orchestra is a wholly other sphere of musical experience.

David Bernard was awarded the Platinum Prize (top award) from the World Classical Music Awards Conducting Competition in 2025. He is also the First Prize winner of The American PrizeOrchestral Conducting Competition (professional division) 2019. Most recently, he was awarded both the Grand Prize and the “Best Saint-Saens Performance Special Award” by the 2026 Saint-Saens International Competition.
