Planting Fields Spring 5K

Join us for the 5th Annual Spring 5K Walk/Run at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park! Lace up your running shoes for a scenic journey through the breathtaking landscapes designed by the renowned Olmsted Brothers. As you run, jog, or walk the course, you’ll traverse a variety of terrains while immersing yourself in the beauty and history of the arboretum. Along the way, you’ll pass iconic landmarks including the Carshalton Gates and the picturesque Taxus Field, all surrounded by the vibrant colors of spring in bloom. Whether you’re a seasoned runner aiming for a personal best or simply looking to enjoy a refreshing morning outdoors with friends and family, the Spring 5K offers something for everyone. Open to participants of all ages and abilities, this event is designed to be both welcoming and inspiring. This year’s event also supports an exciting new chapter at Planting Fields the upcoming garden designed by world-renowned landscape designer Piet Oudolf, scheduled to open in fall 2026. Proceeds from the race help support the continued development and programming of this extraordinary garden, bringing a new horticultural destination to Long Island. All registrants will receive a personalized race bib and a commemorative finisher medal to celebrate their achievement. Celebrate the season of renewal on this iconic, verdant, and dynamic course.
