Event Details
Join Willing Hearts Helpful Hands in collaboration with Great Neck Library for their very first in-person chair fitness class, uniquely designed for family caregivers caring for a loved one living with memory loss. Led by Tom Spartinos—founder of Spartan Home Fitness with over 13 years of health and wellness experience—this accessible, low-impact workout focuses on building the strength, mobility, and confidence you need for daily life. Come move, boost your energy, and connect with a supportive community. Take a well-deserved break to recharge your body and mind!
Willing Hearts, Helpful Hands is a community program serving family caregivers in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties by connecting them with a circle of help that includes trained volunteers who provide an array of respite services. WHHH is offered by Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, in cooperation with partnering community organizations, and is funded by a grant from the New York State Department of Health.
This event will be held at the Great Neck Library Main Branch (159 Bayview Avenue, Great Neck) on Friday, September 11, at 2:30 p.m. Registration is required. Great Neck cardholders and residents can register online, in person, or via phone. Non-residents are welcome as walk-ins, subject to space availability.
