Career Day Inc. Empowers Roosevelt High School Students Through Immersive Career Exploration Event

Career Day Inc., a Long Island-based nonprofit dedicated to educating and empowering young people to pursue their dreams and find fulfilling careers, recently hosted its powerful panel program at Roosevelt High School. The event brought together a group of speakers curated by the Career Day Inc. team to engage students through career exploration, financial literacy, and real-world storytelling.

The program featured multiple speakers who shared their personal career journeys, professional experiences, and life lessons with Roosevelt High School students. Grounded in the mission of New York State's My Brother’s Keeper initiative, which encourages school districts, colleges and universities and community organizations to join forces to improve life outcomes for boys and young men of color. The event offered students a rare opportunity to connect directly with accomplished professionals from a wide range of industries.

Students at Roosevelt High School had the opportunity to interact directly with professionals and explore career paths and industries that many had never before considered. The organization’s approach is designed to open doors and expand horizons, connecting high school students with experts across multiple fields and delivering real-world insights into a broad range of career opportunities.

In addition to career exploration, the program incorporated a strong focus on financial literacy, equipping students with foundational knowledge and tools to make informed financial decisions as they prepare for life beyond high school.

Speakers connected their personal and professional experiences to themes of financial responsibility, economic empowerment, and long-term planning.
