Chili Cook-Off & Pop-Up Restaurant Set for Saturday, October 16
11th annual event to feature exciting raffle prizes and live music. Money raised goes to help people impacted by mental illness.

The Association for Mental Health and Wellness, in collaboration with Suffolk County United Veterans, will hold their 11th Annual Chili Cook-Off and Pop-Up Restaurant on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 12:30pm to 5:00pm. The event – which attracts hundreds of chili (and non-chili) enthusiasts each year – raises money to help people impacted by mental illness and at-risk and homeless Veterans, including those with PTSD and depression.
Attendees will enjoy a diverse, delicious, and creative selection of meat and vegan chili dishes from local food establishments, area businesses, and local talent. Prizes will be given in several categories including a “People’s Choice” award.
To meet pandemic safety protocols, there will be two seatings: one at 12:30pm and another at 3:00pm. There will be a raffle with exciting gifts that participants can access now online or in-person at the event. In addition, live music will be provided by School of Rock at the 12:30 seating and by rising country artist Carolyn Miller at the 3:30pm seating.
