Col. Francis S. Gabreski Squadron presents colors at NYS Senate opening session

On January 9th, 2017 the color guard team from the Col.Francis S. Gabreski Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol NYW 117 traveled to Albany, NY to present the colors at the opening session of the New York State Senate. The team competed and won first place in the New York State Wing Civil Air Patrol 2016 color guard competition and will now compete in the regional competition on February 18-19, 2017. The team also received a proclamation sponsored by Sen. Kenneth P. LaValle who represents District 1 in the New York State Senate. The team also had the opportunity to tour the New York State Capitol building and spend time in our Capital District.
