Delta Says Flights To Gradually Resume Tuesday At JFK, LaGuardia After Storm
JFK still sees hundreds of cancellations on Tuesday, according to FlightAware.
LONG ISLAND, NY — Delta Airlines said they expect flights to gradually resume on Tuesday afternoon at LaGuardia Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport.
The airline's team shared the message at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in response to the heavy snowfall throughout the Northeast.
"Local airport authorities are focused on snow removal as well as treating runways and taxiways this morning as the storm tapers," Delta Airlines said.

Some international flights are planned to land at JFK after noon on Tuesday, the airline said. They said travelers should continue to check their flight status in the Delta app for updates and the latest information.
The airline announced that a fare-difference waiver is on its website for customers with booked flights through Feb. 25. Rebooked travel must begin no later than Feb. 28, according to Delta.

As of 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 24, there have been hundreds of flights from various airlines canceled to and from NY-based airports, according to FlightAware. This number has decreased since Monday's statistics, and the delayed flights have increased.
The following information is based on flights originating from NY, according to FlightAware:
- John F. Kennedy International Airport had 285 canceled flights, or 85 percent of its flights, and 85 delayed flights, or 14 percent of its flights.
- LaGuardia Airport had 263 canceled flights, or 48 percent of its flights, and 21 delayed flights, or 3 percent of its flights.
- Long Island MacArthur Airtport had 6 canceled flights, or 18 percent of its flights, and 2 delayed flights, or 6 percent of its flights.
As of 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 24, the following information is based on flights destined for NY, according to FlightAware:
- John F. Kennedy International Airport had 214 canceled flights, or 31 percent of its flights, and 123 delayed flights, or 18 percent of its flights.
- LaGuardia Airport had 186 canceled flights, or 33 percent of its flights, and 53 delayed flights, or 9 percent of its flights.
- No information is listed for Long Island MacArthur Airport at this time.
