Farmer's Markets Across Long Island

Fresh fruit and veggies across the island. Yummy!

If you have not attended a local Long Island farmer's market yet...there is still hope. Most markets will continue through November. A farmers market is also known as a greenmarket. It is a place where farmers and local entrepreneurs sell their homemade, home grown products directly to YOU.

On Long Island, most markets are held in a parking lot that's empty on the weekend or weekday, or anyplace organizers can make happen. Fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses, meats, desserts, honey, flowers, beer, and other fabulous products are the benchmark of the best farmers markets.

Farmers markets are not just food. They are also a place for businesses and charities to set up shop and promote their services. You may find live music, artwork, pets and more. I love to attend our local market Saturdays from 9am - 1pm. I suggest you go to one too.
