Girl Scouts of Nassau County Announces Seaford Resident to Serve on Board Development Committee

Girl Scouts of Nassau County announced today that Seaford resident Nancy Setzler has been nominated to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board Development Committee through 2026. Nancy Setzler was sworn in during the organization’s 59th Annual Meeting, which was held at the Ruth S. Harley University Center on the Adelphi University campus. Girl Scouts of Nassau County’s Board of Directors and Board Development Committee comprises lifelong Girl Scouts, community leaders, and nonprofit and corporative executives who provide leadership, innovation and constant support to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County council.
“Girl Scouts of Nassau County is proud to have such prestigious and accomplished members on its Board of Directors and Board Development Committee who inspire and empower our Girl Scouts,” said Randell Bynum, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Nassau County. “I am confident that this group of leaders will help cultivate the Girl Scout experience and help fulfill our mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.”

Nancy Seltzer is an executive manager working as a programmer with a B.S. in Accounting and an M.B.A. in Information Systems. Her Girl Scout journey began 10 years ago as a Brownie leader. Now, her daughter is working toward earning her Gold Award. Nancy has served as SUVM for the Seaford Wantagh Service Unit. Partnering with the Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Nancy taught Girls Who Code and coached a First Lego League team for many years. Nancy was and still is passionate about Girl Scouts. As a programmer she strongly believes that girls should be able to discover many new and exciting opportunities, especially in STEAM field. In addition, Nancy owns Snapology, a STEAM education company in Westbury. They offer Robotics, Science, Programming, and Engineer Badge workshops for each level of Girl Scouts.
