Long Island Fight for Charity Seeking Volunteer Boxers for 2026 Main Event
Call for Long Islanders in the business community to step in the ring to box for charity in November's 21st Annual Main Event
Long Island Fight for Charity (LIFFC), the nation’s only all-volunteer charity fund raising event and program is calling for volunteer boxers to participate in their highly anticipated 2026 Main Event in November. Business professionals from all walks of life are encouraged to lace up their gloves, step into the ring and raise funds to make a positive impact in their community. Since 2003, over 375 men and women have earned the title of LIFFC Alumni Boxer, volunteering their time to fundraise over $2 million for local charities and get in shape to box in the annual main event.
The LIFFC 21st Annual Main Event will be on Monday, November 23, 2026 at the Long Island Hilton in Melville and will feature at least 10 bouts between volunteer charity boxers. These participants will demonstrate their personal commitment to raising a minimum of $10,000 for the Fight for Charity organization, benefiting local charities, enduring physical training and participating in promotional activities and media interviews. The Main Event, now in its 22nd year, has become a staple in the Long Island community, uniting individuals from diverse industries in the spirit of philanthropy.
Applications are now being accepted for volunteer charity boxers who will enter training to prepare them to step in the ring at the 21st Annual Main Event. There will be an informational meeting for potential boxers on Monday, March 23rd at 5:30pm at the Heritage Club in Bethpage.
While no boxing experience is required, this is a rare and rewarding opportunity for individuals to make a personal commitment of time, talent and to truly “give back.” Since 2003, LIFFC has distributed funds each year to Long Island charities including: Long Island Community Chest, Eden II/The Genesis School, Ferro Foundation, Angela's House, New Ground and many others.
“Since 2003, businesspeople have volunteered to become charity boxers and many have said it was the ‘experience of a lifetime’. Each boxer will receive expert coaching from seasoned professionals to refine their boxing skills and gain new physical fitness levels and mental fortitude, while also making valuable connections within the business community. The experience is an unparalleled opportunity for individuals to challenge themselves, build resilience and contribute to the well-being of the members in their community,” said Fight for Charity Co-Founder Jeff Cohen.
Whether experienced boxers or beginners, all participants will benefit from professional training and support from Alumni boxers throughout their journey. The organization is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, making the event an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
