Over 2,000 walkers participated in the ALS Association Greater New York Chapter's 9th Annual Hudson Valley Walk to Defeat ALS

The ALS Association relentlessly pursues its mission to help people living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

On Sunday, October 15th, the ALS Association Greater New York Chapter hosted the 9th Annual Walk to Defeat ALS fundraiser in the Hudson Valley.

More than 2,000 walkers participated, including Team Vincent Strong, a record-breaking 80 member team, who helped raise over $200,00 to fight ALS. To date, the Chapter has raised nearly $2 million, with proceeds from the event going to The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter.

As one of The ALS Association's leading chapters, the Greater New York Chapter serves patients and families throughout Long Island, New York City, Westchester County, the Hudson Valley, and Northern & Central New Jersey. The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter plays a major role in promoting the mission to lead the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy while also empowering people with Lou Gehrig's Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support. The ALS Association is the only national nonprofit voluntary health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. ALSA is a member of the National Health Council.
