Paws of War Welcomes Olivia Chen to the Spectrum Paws Program

Paws of War, a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of both rescued animals and humans, is thrilled to announce Olivia Chen’s recent hiring as part of its Spectrum Paws program. This innovative initiative is not only offering rescue dogs a second chance but also creating opportunities for young adults with autism to gain invaluable life and job skills.
The Spectrum Paws program empowers participants to learn and master skills such as walking, grooming, and socializing dogs rescued from shelters and puppy mills. These animals are then placed with veterans and first responders, fostering an incredible bond of healing and companionship.

For Olivia, working at Paws of War is a dream come true. A lifelong animal lover, especially dogs, she is now turning her passion into purpose. Olivia eagerly joined Paws of War and now dedicates two days a week to working with rescue dogs. Beyond her scheduled hours, she also volunteers her time, bringing an unmatched enthusiasm and dedication to her role.

Olivia is part of the Winters Center for Autism a nonprofit organization based in West Babylon, New York, dedicated to improving the lives of adults with autism. The Winters Center is one of the organizations Paws of War has partnered with for its Spectrum Paws program. Eventually, with more support and partners, Paws of War’s goal is to expand the program to offer more job and volunteer opportunities for individuals with differing abilities.
