Suffolk County United Veterans Meets its #GivingTuesday Goal
Raised $10,000 with the generosity of the Make it Count Foundation as well as Ronkonkoma Social Worker Sheila Carpenter, LMSW

Due to tremendous community support, the Association for Mental Health and Wellness (MHAW) is very proud to announce that it met its #GivingTuesday campaign goal of $10,000 for Suffolk County United Veterans (SCUV) Vets Place Shelter. Watch for a Spring 2018 ground-breaking ceremony to launch the expansion of the dining/multi-purpose room, offices, meeting rooms, and overnight staff room. An elevator will also be installed to assist Veterans with disabilities to access services on the second floor. The generosity of donors will allow the Vets Place to become an improved facility that even better reflects the dignity that Veterans deserve.
Half of the $10,000 raised was due to the generosity of the Make It Count Foundation.
