The US entered into a war with Iran February 28, with surprise airstrikes of multiple cities, killing Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamemei, as well as over 100 students of a girls’ school in Minab. As of now, Middle Eastern civilian casualties number over 1,000, with US service members deaths at 14. Congress was neither notified, or given the chance to vote on these military actions, which is illegal as per Article 1, Section 8, of the US Constitution which states that only Congress can declare war.
Operation Epic Fury, named by the Trump admin, has already cost the US government 11 billion from the first week alone, with 1 billion added for each week since. The Pentagon is also seeking 200 billion in war funds, which is in addition to the extra funding the defense department received from DJT’s BB Bill. When asked about the extra funds, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said: “It takes money to kill bad guys.” Meanwhile the nation’s debt has surged past a record 39 trillion.
In a senate hearing today, over the claim of Iran obtaining nuclear weapons, Republican Senator William Cohen of Maine asked FBI Director Kash Patel about the agents Patel fired when he gutted the FBI shortly after he took office. Here is part of that exchange:

Cohen: “The people you fired were experts on Iran, were they not?”
Patel: “I don’t believe so.”

Cohen: “You’re the director. I’m not. You should know the answer.”
At a press conference earlier, Sec Hegseth called for peace and prayers for our troops, by the American people, “on bended knee.” and “in the name of Jesus Christ," were terms he used.” While before that, he was also quoted as saying: “Today will be the largest strike package yet, just like yesterdays was. As I said from day one… we’re hunting down and striking, death and destruction from above.”
According to Newsday, LI gas prices went up 80 cents a gallon since last month. And AAA reported today’s average at $3.73 a gallon to yesterday’s average of $3.68.
When the president was asked when the war would be ending, he responded: “When I feel it. When I feel it in my bones.”
