World War II Weekend and Military Timeline scheduled for Old Bethpage Village Restoration this June

The Museum of American Armor and the Long Island Living History Association, in cooperation with the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Museums will host a combined tribute to our nation’s military heritage with the presentation of World War II Weekend and Military Timeline on Saturday, June 14th and Sunday, June 15th, at Old Bethpage Village Restoration, 1303 Round Swamp Road, Old Bethpage, New York.

Among the activities and exhibits will be a parade featuring operational World War II tanks, armored cars, half-tracks, and replica enemy vehicles. Escorted by “Doughboys’ of that era, the Armor Museum will also unveil a replica World War I tank that revolutionized tactics on the battlefield over one hundred years ago.

Living historians will present the uniforms and tactics of military forces throughout history while the Armor Museum’s “FDR” interpreter and Churchill living historian will greet visitors to remind them of an era when our nation defeated the enemies of freedom.
