17 Malverne Students Head to Model UN Conference
Student delegates emulate international conference.
Seventeen students from Malverne High School’s Model UN Club recently participated in the December Model United Nationals Conference at Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK High School.
The conference consisted of more than ten schools and more than 350 students. Each “delegate” was given a country and then had to emulate the United Nations, working together to solve world problems in a variety of different conferences. Malverne student Jewell Stewart was one of only three students in his conference to earn the designation of “Honorable Delegate.”
