Reward Offered: Police Seek Man Who Used Counterfeit $100 Bills
Incident occurred in December.
Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man pictured above who they say used counterfeit bills at a Village of Amityville convenience store in December.
Police say the man entered a 7-Eleven store located at 403 Broadway on Dec. 8 and bought $2,700 worth of gift cards and paid for them with counterfeit $100 bills.
The suspect is described as black, approximately 6-foot, wearing glasses, a white baseball cap and a blue sweatshirt with “USA” printed on the front and the numbers 012 on the back. He fled in a red vehicle that may have been a Nissan, police say.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
