Antonio's Deli Victorious in Malverne Championship
Malverne's Major Little League championship goes to Team Ariola.

Team Ariola, which is sponsored by , prevailed in the Championship game of Malverne Little League's Majors Division this year.
They beat Project Hotshots by scoring runs in just about every inning en route to a 10-1 in victory in the six-inning game on Saturday.

"It was an excellent game for us today and a great way to close out the season," said Antonio's Deli coach Joe Ariola at the June 18 match-up at Harris Field.
Ariola said his team picked it up from a slow start to the season.

"We got off to our typical rough start to start the beginning of this season, but we came together as a team and we were able persevere," he said. "We started playing well and never looked back."
Antonio's Deli got off to a quick 2-0 lead in the top of the second and added five more runs in the top of the third to blow the game open. They added additional runs in the next three innings.
Project Hotshots got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning when Dan Rung singled to send Nick Fiorino home.
"We had a really good season this year," said Hotshots founder and coach John Gotimer. "There are 13 kids on this team who made me extremely proud with their effort today."
