Cops: Bank Robbed Twice in Two Days
Capital One on Hempstead Turnpike held up Tuesday and Wednesday by two different men, police said.

A West Hempstead bank was robbed twice within 24 hours by two separate men, confirmed Nassau County Police Wednesday.
A man approached a teller at Capital One Bank on Hempstead Turnpike at 9:48 a.m. Wednesday and presented them a demand note, police said. The teller complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash before the subject fled in an unknown direction, cops said.

The subject was described as a black man in his early-30s, 5-foot-5, large build, and no facial hair. He was wearing dark clothing and a beige baseball cap at the time.
At 1:55 p.m. Tuesday, the same bank was held up by another subject, described as a white man in his mid-40s, 5-foot-8, and was wearing a dark-colored t-shirt, sunglasses, and a New York Yankees baseball cap. Read the story here.

Police have not yet determined whether the two robberies are connected.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about either incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
