Man Met Nassau Teen For Sex Through Snapchat: Police
Documents show he was out on bail for similar charges in Brooklyn when the rape allegedly took place.
A Brooklyn man was arrested on Wednesday and charged by police with rape for his sexual relationship with a Nassau County teenager.
According to detectives, Javier Morales, 28, of Van Siclen Avenue, started a conversation on the messaging app Snapchat with a 14-year-old. Police say that, since October, Morlaes arranged to meet the teen on numerous occasions and had sex.
After an investigation, police arrested Morales on Wednesday in Elmont. He is charged with first-degree criminal sexual act and second-degree rape. He was arraigned on Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.

According to court documents, Morales is also facing similar charges in Brooklyn in Kings County Supreme Court for an incident that occurred in March 2016. Court documents show he was arrested on March 22, 2016 and charged with first-degree rape for having sex with another young teen. He was later charged with numerous counts of sexual abuse and sexual misconduct.
Documents show that Morales pleaded not guilty to the Kings County charges and was out on bail awaiting trial.
