Nassau Pops Entertains Malvernites [Video]

Malverne residents were serenaded with music performed by the Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra on Aug. 7. 

The Nassau Pops, led by Maestro Louis Panacciuli, held their annual free summer concert at the village.

Many residents came out to see their performance and were delighted to hear music from some of their favorite movies. A collection of tunes from Showboat, The Godfather, and The Wizard of Oz were played, along with a John Williams calibration.

Panacciuli took time at the end of the showcase to remember and thank our military men and women for their service. The Nassau Pops closed the show with patriotic songs and a salute to veterans in the audience.

Malverne's next , "An Evening of Summer Music," takes place tonight, Aug. 24, at 6 p.m. near the gazebo on Church Street, where students from the will perform.
