Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. One person was killed and two injured after a motorcycle crash in Massapequa Friday night.According to police, two people were crossing Merrick Road, east of Glen Road, at 6:45 p.m. when they were hit by a 2018 Yamaha motorcycle.One of the pedestrians, a 67-year-old man, suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other pedestrian was taken to the hospital and is listed in fair condition.The driver of the motorcycle, a 22-year-old man, was air-lifted to a hospital and is in serious condition.Police have not yet identified any of the people involved in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
