2. After a few months of dining out no matter how fine the cuisine, you soon realize the meals you enjoy most are the ones you prepare. Then you slowly, but steadily, return to cooking.
3. Absolutely EVERYTHING can be ordered on the internet.

4. Soon after arriving, you quickly become aware that you packed clothes that you don’t even recall buying. Old is not necessarily better; no matter where you live.
5. You really regret not having included your vacuum when you packed.
6. In 2018 regardless of your age, it is vital to be able to use the internet. It definitely improves the quality of life.
7. It was never necessary to own so many pots and pans, but really nice having them once upon a time.
9. Good friends will always remain in your life via phone, Face time and email
10. Life remains pretty much the same even when the weather is radically different.
11. A smaller living space is so much easier to clean, but also, a daily challenge to keep neat.
12. Most, if not all, cook books are available on a kindle. While it is lovely owning a library, it does take up space
13. Kindred souls, good Samaritans, interesting human beings (as well as extraordinary medical personnel and hair dressers) do exist all over the world.
14. The pundit who said, “It’s a small world after all” was absolutely right.
15, The fearful anticipation of relocation is far more difficult than the actual reality of moving which truly has the essence of a new adventure along life’s journey
