Air-Quality Alert Issued
State warns of high pollution levels throughout the day.

An air-quality alert has been issued effective 11 a.m. Sunday until 1 a.m. Monday.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation issued the alert early Sunday morning. The alerts are issued when levels of pollution are expected to be greater than the Air Quality Index of 100.
The state Department of Health recommends limiting strenuous outdoor activities.
