Crime Report: Phone Stolen at Library, Foiled Robbery in Massapequa
Nassau County Police report on recent crimes in the Massapequa area.

Nassau County Police reported the following information.
- Nov. 23: Waldbaums, Massapequa
A Suffolk woman faces charges after she tried to take a pocketbook from a woman who was leaving a Massapequa grocery store. Read the full story here.

- Nov. 17: Prade Lane, Massapequa; man returned from vacation and found iPod missing from his car, which was not damaged.
- Nov. 19: East Lake Avenue, Massapequa Park; pocketbook stolen from parked car, contents later found near a bus stop.
- Nov. 21: Grant Street, Massapequa Park; rear passenger side window of parked car found shattered.
- Nov. 21: Massachusetts Avenue, Massapequa; driver side window damaged on parked car.
- Nov. 22: Kohl’s, Massapequa; known shoplifter that was banned from Kohl’s stores entered Massapequa store and tried to shoplift. Man was taken into custody.
- Nov. 24: Massapequa Public Library; cellphone stolen while he was in the library computer room.
- Nov. 25: Massapequa LIRR; unknown person threw an object at parked car, rear driver side door damaged.
