Drug Deal In Nassau Goes Wrong, Ends With Man Shot: Police
One man was arrested after police say he started to drive away instead of finishing the marijuana sale.

A drug deal turned violent in Massapequa, leading the the arrest of a Hempstead man for attempted murder.
According to police, Tylil McTootle, 28, of Dartmouth Street, Hempstead, arranged to sell marijuana to a 27-year-old man on Feb. 8 in Massapequa. The two met at 4:30 p.m., police say, and the man placed an undisclosed amount of marijuana in the back of McTootle's car. Police say McTootle started to drive before finishing the sale, and the man chased him, jumping into the front passenger seat while McTootle drove into the intersection of Fairfax Road and Gloucester Road.
McTootle got out of the car and ordered the man to get out, police say. He then pulled out a handgun and shot at the man multiple times, police say, striking him once in the right leg. Police say McTootle then fled the scene, and the man was treated at a hospital.

McTootle was placed under arrest on Tuesday by Nassau County Gang Investigation Squad detectives. He is charged with second-degree murder (attempt), two counts of first-degree robbery, first-degree criminal use of a firearm, second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm. He is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday.
